Just went forty rounds with our DM, over the design of Dr. Nick's prestige class. And the fight's not over yet. He called a halt and said we'd resume the discussion tomorrow--I think he was getting pissed off. The funny thing is, the item we were arguing really hard about today is one I'm pretty sure Nick isn't even going to take (you can choose from a list at several levels); I could have just given in and it wouldn't have mattered a whit, but he was just WRONG WRONG WRONG. Swell guy but terribly conservative, our DM. New ideas and unusual concepts are frightening to him. (I'm still in good humor, if slightly frustrated at my inability to re-route his solid stone mental channels. Also, I can tell that his crankiness over Nick's last-minute not being able to play this week is affecting his opinion; tut tut!)
