Went to see Shrek 2. I didn't think it was, on the average, quite as good as the first--there are certain pacing problems, for instance--but some of the moments were priceless. Exempla gratia: Antonio Banderas. Oh yes. That man could be reading the fucking phone book and I'd sit there happily listening with a trickle of drool running out the corner of my mouth. Then make him Puss in Boots...words fail.

Just hangin' around the office right now, as we are in the Long Dark Gap of No Trains. There is a big fat white cat bumping into my legs and yowling at me, which is, incidentally, how the day started, too.

Yes, I did in fact have the gyro. Fear my walk on the wild side, yo.

BTW, I bought the soundtrack in Virgin afterwards. Track 13 has Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas singing "Livin' La Vida Loca". If you're nice then I might let you listen to it :-)

Now my question is: When "Puss...In Boots!" falls off the horse and starts swearing. What is he saying?

BTW, I agree with the pacing problems, but the "Moments of indescribeable laughter: priceless" outweighed the pacing issues.

I forget what he said, but it was very well delivered.
