I want a simple thing: that whatever LJ icon I put in my user post shall show up in my "recent entries" page. However, taking a look at the relevant portions of the FAQ produced an instant MEGO reaction. These complicated webby things are foreign to my quaint and simple people. I might be able to work through this after a good night's sleep, but at the moment, waah.

The quick answer: choose a style that does that. That's what I did. Found one that I quite liked (s2, opal something, IIRC), and that had a "show icons for each post" option.
