serindeWhile frobbing the photo into an LJ-acceptable size, it occured to me: the fortune cat on the mug is a simple line drawing. It'd make a pretty easy tattoo. And the fortune cat statuettes are traditionally at the entrance of stores, to welcome the customer and bring luck & money, etc.
I could get THAT tattooed on my lower back! A bit above the entrance, as it were, y'know. Greeting the incoming visitor.
The pooky didn't like the idea one bit, stodge that he is ("I really don't need a happy little cat waving at me when we're having sex"), so I guess I'm going with my initial design.
