Okay, it wasn't a false alarm.
Feb. 17th, 2003 11:29 amDepending on where you look in the yard, it could be anywhere from 6" to 15" of snow down already, and it's still coming. This would have made the inability to go to the store somewhat grievous, as we were completely out of bread, but behold my pioneering spirit: I MADE BREAD. I am the provider goddess; the fertility of the fields is made manifest in me. Or something.
Poor ol' Dave was on shift by himself at the NOC he works at last night--his relief didn't make it in, and he just found out that the _next_ guy isn't coming in either. He's gibbering right now, but says at 3.5* normal hourly rate he'll survive it. And, Mom is stuck in Boston; they say the first available flight will be 6pm tomorrow night.
At some point I am going to have to gird my loins and shovel the driveway.
