I had a moderate vexation at my pooky earlier, but having blown off steam about it at a poor hapless other victim, I am now prepared to sit down and discuss the matter like a sane, reasonable adult. Go Me.

My CPU was, apparently, _not_ fried. In spite of the horrible smell. Pooky has made it work, and now I am once more on my blazingly fast shiny new machine. Yay!
