Met Claire for lunch today, as is our custom, only the place we intended to go was closed for renovations. (In NYC restaurant parlance, that rather frequently means "closed for good"; hopefully not.) Somewhat taken aback by this development, we wandered down a random street--20th, I think--and found T Salon/Emporium. I'd walked by the place any number of times and hadn't processed it...I think because their store banner made me think "expensive tchotchke and furniture store", not "land of 1000 teas". The salads were excellent, the tea selection vast and very tasty, the waiter quite attentive--all around a great find. If I had a whinge, it's the fact that they have so many things I really want on the menu that I can't have onaccounta carb count.

Since the PrC is on hold for now, instead I spent the day making peace between the same two sides, who got into it over a spell the DM thinks is too powerful (it happened to save our asses last night, hence its sudden arrival on the rules discussion scene). I never cease to be amazed at how quickly a situation can deteriorate.

"You could argue that women make better technical managers because we know how to handle large groups of children." Replace 'technical managers' with 'speakers-to-gamers'; yes.

Objection!

Shower time is happy relaxing unwinding time, not spiders descending from above my head time.
