Mixed morning bag

EMS has only cruddy rubber/nylon hiking sandals for women. They have a lovely soft leather pair for men, of course. Campmor has nothing that is pleasing in my sight. Bah.
Finally got my jet earrings back; Steve had taken them up to get them fixed as a surprise for me...before Christmas...and forgot about them. Silly pooky. But I appreciate the initiative, and I only rarely wear them (they're very delicate, hence the need for repairs), so it's all good.
I really, really wanted to garden today--if nothing else, I hoped it would relieve my twitchiness--but it's sort of chilly and grey and unpleasant out. I don't mind the ambient temperature too much, but my fingers would be blocks of ice at the end of it. Yes yes, I could wear gloves, but I can't feel what I'm doing then. (It's supposed to get down into the 20s on Monday night. WTF?)
