Points of self-aggrandizement:
* Weight is down markedly this morning. YAY.
* Similarly, I am today wearing a linen blouse I hadn't tried on since last summer, which at that time was a leetle tight across the frontage--gave a slight impression that my breasts were going to come bursting out at any moment like an Alien. Now it's loose. Half YAY, as it's actually too large to be as becoming a garment as it had been previously.
* I shut Steve's pie hole last night with respect to his whinge that he never gets good Chinese food in NYC except when we're in Chinatown, which we never are. Charlie Mom is not an awesomely life-changing eatery, but it's quite good, and now the pooky is happy (nay, smug!). YAY.

On the other hand, if NJ Transit doesn't stop sending a shorter than usual train for the 7:58 (which is just about the busiest train that hits our station), I shall be very put out. Ditto if the office cleaning guy doesn't stop throwing out the plastic thing I use to put my tea strainer on so it doesn't drool all over the desk.

By rights I should be comatose, as I had a devil time falling asleep last night, but it isn't so. Hello, estrogen!

Sigh

The leg is better, therefore the arm is worse. It seems to hurt only when I'm doing some kind of sudden thrusting motion (like a punch, or like putting the arm through the armhole of a shirt)...though not always then. However, it hurt like hell when my upper arm was grabbed, and still aches from that. WTF?

I was also suffering extreme moron moments and option paralysis. The locker room says that this kind of mess usually heralds a jump in skill level, and I do confess that seems to be the case, which is why I'm not actively preparing for seppuku.

Instant Beverage Review: Naked Food "Protein Zone"

Orange, apple, pear, and pineapple juice, banana puree, coconut milk, and a big whomp of soy and whey protein. Er. The taste is fine, but the consistency...I'm not sure I want my juice to be gritty.

Today's legal threat hilarity is brought to you by international-florist.com. They sent us a cease-and-desist letter, but addressed to a corp-web customer, shouting about "our" company using their "trademarked and copyrighted name/information in Yahoo advertising" and to cut it out or "you will be subject to a multimillion dollar lawsuit" against company, ISP, and world + dog.

This is, I should note, not from a lawyer--it's from the Rev. Dr. (name-elided), "President & CEO". In fact, it seems to be on Create Your Own Letterhead--there is a bit at the bottom that says "[Click here and type slogan]". Need I add that the return address is some PO box in Florida?

Edit: Let me also mention that: it was sent certified mail, which takes a long time (it took almost a month to get here), but it demanded action within 72 hours; that the web site it's bitching about doesn't even have the phrase in question on it; that the ever-so-professional legal communique was hand-addressed...Also, Dippy the Accounting Assistant tried to call them to tell them that they needed to talk to the customer, not us, and the person on the other hand started cursing and swearing at her that he'd get her sent to federal prison for 20 years for using an 800 number for non-order purposes. As Joe said, it must be something in the water down there.

Brian and I went to see Blue Man Group tonight. I heartily recommend this product and/or service. It's bizarre, witty, funny, psychedelic, messy, and the music is great. (So in a way, it's kinda like Burning Man.) Also, you get to TP the entire theater.

Less pleasing: I now know why my throat has been feeling tetchy the last day or so...it's all rough and wrong-colored and there are swollen bits in it. Yech. I seem to be fighting off any real symptoms, though, so I reckon I'll not go to the doctor unless there's a lack of improvement in the next day or two.
