Saturday: store trip, baked a cake, went to a different store because I stupidly forgot to look at the recipe for something I wanted to make before going to the store, and random TV watching. Aqua Teen Hungerforce, forsooth. Steve nearly passed out from not breathing, he was laughing so hard.

Sunday: Memorial Day (Sort-Of) Deck Party, which was doing double service as Eli's birthday party. Hence the cake, which I decorated with the ASCII DOOM! bunny. Quite a successful function, I may say. We came inside around sundown, as it was getting kinda cold, and played the Big Trouble in Little China drinking game. (Helpful safety tip: Spicy Nacho Doritos have a less deleterious effect than generic, low-end cheese crappos when you get the munchies as a result of this particular entertainment.) Ensued then some tipsy snogging with [livejournal.com profile] 8782 while everyone else was watching Pirates of the Caribbean. The enjoyment factor of the snogging may be indexed by the fact that I skipped one of my most favoritest movies to do it.

Monday: Not hung over, mirabile dictu. Mostly just cleaned up, watched some TV, made a pot of chili, etc., followed by a bit of snogging-whilst-sober, followed by a late night discussion with the pooky, followed by not sleeping too well because the waterbed temp. is, I think, set too low and was leaching the heat out of me.

I am idly vexed at the moment at some combination of Mozilla on byzantium and LJ. For some reason, when I try to update my LJ, it goes to the update page and plugs in the date, time, subject, and ObMusic from a post I made on May 27. But only in Mozilla. I've tried logging out, quitting the browser, destroying all cookies, and clearing the cache. Grumble.

I can have a gyro for dinner if I don't eat anything else this evening. All my numbers would be in a perfect place. But, no bedtime snack.

And yes, I fully recognize the banality of this post.

Movie.

Went to see Shrek 2. I didn't think it was, on the average, quite as good as the first--there are certain pacing problems, for instance--but some of the moments were priceless. Exempla gratia: Antonio Banderas. Oh yes. That man could be reading the fucking phone book and I'd sit there happily listening with a trickle of drool running out the corner of my mouth. Then make him Puss in Boots...words fail.

Just hangin' around the office right now, as we are in the Long Dark Gap of No Trains. There is a big fat white cat bumping into my legs and yowling at me, which is, incidentally, how the day started, too.

Yes, I did in fact have the gyro. Fear my walk on the wild side, yo.
