I liked it better, stylistically, than the first two; I think the director change was a Good Thing. The fact that there was only one giant spider in the whole thing, and it was brief, did not actually impact my judgment, I hasten to add. One definite problem (that can only get worse as the series goes on) is that they had to leave considerably more out of this one due to time constraints, and it's starting to make a difference. Heck, by the time they get to "HP and the Order of the Phoenix" they'll need a freakin' miniseries just to hit the high points.

Mom is coming through this weekend--partially to visit, but mostly because she's dropping off stuff from Grandma's house. Okay, fine, weekend jettisoned, so it goes. But now she wants to bring my nephew along. Yay! Hyperactive, mood-swinging four-year-old!

I shall view it with intellectual interest: whether he's better behaved without his mother present, or not. (We were always much better behaved for our grandparents, even though they were more laissez-faire; don't ask me why.)

Also, BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD. Feh.

Steve and [livejournal.com profile] naudia are going out tonight, and while changing, asked me to look up when the next train is. This I did, and they left in what should have been plenty of time...

...only somehow I fumbled my brane and gave bad data. I told them 9:56 when it was 9:52. Oooops.

I don't know how I managed this. There isn't a 9:56 on the entire schedule, at any station.
