Unpromising mornings
Aug. 10th, 2004 10:03 amWe have an aDSL customer whose line has been down since last week--his phone line, too, and when Verizon fixed that his DSL didn't come back (shock, surprise). Those dumbfucks at Covad want to roll a Covad truck, at a mere $199 + $85/hr, rather than OH TALK TO THE VERIZON FUCKS WHO BROKE THINGS IN THE FIRST PLACE. This means lots of time wasted on the phone with Covad's level 1 support in India, who have little to no idea of the American sport of Dances With Telcos.
We have another aDSL sucker who's suddenly getting some 40-50 KBps down (his upload speeds are fine). I'm sure his trouble ticket is going to meet an equally stupid fate. See figure 1.
Update: And another aDSLer just went down. Did these circuits just reach their best-by dates, or what?
NetWizards seem to have fucked things royally, and claim that cugc.org is about to expire, even though it's paid up through 2005. This is ongoing after I sent them mail in response to their first auto-notice, as it says to in the auto-notice, which they failed to respond to and apparently utterly ignored.
I haven't been to a class in nigh on two weeks. There will be pain.
