I was not properly controlling uke's head during iriminage, thus creating a perfect object lesson in why we are supposed to do that as the top of David's skull whanged into my jaw. This resulted in what Dr. Nick describes as a "minor TMJ dislocation", leading to brain dislocation because I kept trying to parse TMJ as Too Much Joy. The point of impact doesn't hurt, but the opposite side of my jaw does. Rather a lot, really. So I'm supposed to ice the point of impact, and the other side too if it swells (which it feels like it is), leading to much hilarity in the office as I slouch scowling in my chair with cold packs pressed all over my face.

Social Director Sez: come party with mangosteen

Saturday, chez Pooky, 3pm onwards, hang out on the deck with grilled food and wine and croquet. Or, if it rains, silly movies. Will continue until last dog is hung. RSVPs would be nice.

Sunday: dim sum, 98 Mott, high noon. RSVP if you're coming or you will die screaming.
