It should tell you something right here that when Beth and I were planning our new Pennsic Dream Camp, all the names we came up with ended "...and Dave". Mistress Elizabeth's Atelier...and Dave! The Little Sisters of Mary Magdalene...and Dave! Vert et Purpure...and Dave! Because Dave is the good, solid buddy that every troop of wild women needs. He handles all the boy jobs like chopping wood, makes a terrific escort for parties and for shopping, too, and yet is never underfoot when it's time to throw a new acquaintance over your shoulder and drag him back to the tent.

Away from the War, The Brother I Never Asked For is an indispensible part of all our festivities. He's the perfect pal for drinking, watching bad movies, watching good movies, gaming, and just plain hanging out. He's that rara avis in New York, an old-school Nice Guy--the best kind of comfortable company there is.
