Also, I think I need to stop having five kajillion started-off but under level 5 characters and just concentrate on a few. I'd like to see my level 16 blaster finally get her cape, for instance. And I'd like to see more of the City than newbieland and the *%#& Hollows.

I've been doing the same with WoW: I've got six different characters, and only one of them is over level 10. And I've just decided to put him aside as there are too many paladins.

So last night I started a new one: a night-elf druid. This means doing all the newbie stuff again, but at least now I've got a handle on how the game system works and can do a much better job of building my character.

(Gods, is my life really being eaten by an MMORPG? Shoot me now!)

That too. My 16th-level character, there were some choices I didn't realize the consequences of. No biggie, I'm still having fun, but I would have chosen otherwise had I known...

Huh. I generally don't escape from the initial crack session until level 6 or 7. Well, FSVO "generally"; I've only three characters so far ({12,8,7}, I think it is)... um, plus the one I deleted at level 7. And there's another still in the planning stage. Argh.

It's an artifact of who is on whose computer, and that would be confusing enough if it were just Steve and me, but when we add various guests & hangers-on into the mix, new characters are spawning like blowflies.
