Blame it on Betsey

Let me share with you, Gentle Reader, today's local weather report:
I can only assume this is in honor of my sister's birthday today, being a replay of the weather the day she landed on the shores of Time. Family legend tells us that the day started 70 F and sunny, dropped some forty degrees over the afternoon, and by teatime a howling blizzard was whipping up.
The commemoration would be fine if one can stay home all day (*kick
audiovile*) but trying to dress for warm rainy gale on the way to work, and cold & snowy for the return trip, calls more thinking than I care to commit to when I'm falling-down-tired.
...Wind Advisory in effect until noon EST today...
.Today...Windy with rain and possible thunderstorms this morning.
Rain may be heavy at times this morning. Rain possibly changing to
snow this afternoon before ending. No accumulation expected. Early
highs around 60...falling into the 30s this afternoon. South winds
25 to 35 mph...becoming north 10 to 20 mph this afternoon. Gusts up
to 50 mph possible this morning.
