I have somehow, in the past three years since my last dentist visit--during which period I have been eating less sugar, and brushing (twice a day. sometimes thrice.) and flossing more regularly, than at any other point in my life--accumulated a mouth full of minor cavities and one mondo root-canal-worthy one. My doom is sealed for July 13.

I LIVED on Doritos and Coke in high school and much of college. This generated no cavities.

What the fucking fuck.

Well, three years is still three years, and good oral hygiene isn't a foolproof defense.

At least you don't have three crowns to look forward to. My "wake up and go to the damn dentist" moment involved three crowns and two other major fillings that took the better part of three months and a quarter of my after tax income for that year. :) Oddly, the tooth that hurt and caused me to go to the dentist in the first place was fine. Apparently, being next to a hollow shell of decay can make a healthy tooth's nerves twinge.
