I am zombified today, having had to schlep to Brooklyn last night (leaving the house c. 10pm) to pick up MEAT!. I am now the proud possessor of ~30lbs of prime, grass-fed dead cow, obtained at bargain prices. (Someone at Echo masterminds these mass purchases every so often, and Ben tipped me the nod.) It includes a lot of ground beef, some steaks--what the zark is a rib steak?--, some roasts, a few I-know-not-whats, and a sack of marrowbones. I refused my share of hearts and livers, because yuck. ...I'm not sure I got any stew beef, dammit; must check.
