Remember the Great August Blackout (14 Aug 2003)? That would be about that many days ago. No telling why the discrepency between your machines, though.

I remember that another famous machine in the same rack as amoeba definitely lost power, so likely amoeba did too.

IIRC, Tori was away at pennsic during the blackout and amoeba needed to be fsck'ed when it came back up. She could not do that until she got back to work, hense the delay.
