The democracy we are nominally bringing to Iraq does not, apparently, include a free and independent press. Military psych-ops personnel are writing propaganda articles that purport to be from actual reporters for publication in Iraqi media sources.

Of course not. The democracy your government is bringing to Iraq is the sort that Dick Cheney & Co would like at home: pliant press, corporate free for all, women and minorities are irrelevant and need no rights, etc ...
