Look, paint drying.
Nov. 29th, 2002 02:47 pm_Why_ are we open today?!
The tedium was at least relieved by lunch with Mom, Betsey, Jeff, and the kids. I hasten to note with pride that both were very good: no screaming, crying, or other disturbing behavior (unless you count Katie knocking her bottle onto the floor twice towards a neighboring table, but the occupants were amused rather than irritated). However, neither was very interested in eating--they wanted fun and attention. This made it more difficult for us to get _our_ food down. But I still had a good time.
Also very cute was on the way back, when we passed a fire truck (or more accurately, it passed us)--Andrew, who loves fire trucks, waved to it, and the firemen waved back. I think it made his day. :)
I have been looking at setting up a transparent proxy for the TWiki, since Mike's work firewall doesn't have an opening for 8001 (Stephen's comment: "any company in this day and age who doesn't allow that is weird"), but dear God it looks like a steaming tangle of headache. Worse than boredom, even. But I am a big sucker, so I may try poking at it anyways.
Oh please let them send us home early.
