Boy Scouts in the LA area can now work towards a new badge, hight "Respect Copyright". You will, of course, be shocked to hear that the RIAA & MPAA "worked with" the organization to develop it.
Agreed. From the description it sounds as though you get the badge for going on the course, and then a trip, without having to *do* anything. Even in *cubs* I remember *organising* a trip to get a tick for a badge.
I hope this dumbing-down is because there isn't anything you can actually *do* to demonstrate respect for copyright, not a general feature of current badges.
I note cleverly that the badge doesn't make any mention of respecting copyright by citing sources and compiling a bibliography. Silly me, to think that copyright applies to more than movies...
