[livejournal.com profile] dariodevil and I hung out and watched the first N (eight, maybe?) episodes of Scrubs last night. Holy wow, is it ever good. There's no laugh track because I was supplying it all, and yet at that, the fourth episode ("My Old Lady") made me cry.

How the heck did I never hear about it before?

Yes, it has an excellent silliness factor. And you caught the bug just in time, because the next episode is a musical!

Y'know, lots of folks are suddenly discovering Scrubs. I know I did when Comedy Central started showing it a few months ago and have become a super-fan. John Kovalic has as well. Same with Dave Willis of Shortpacked. Wild.

EGAD! Something I discovered *before* you did? I love Scrubs...part of that is because, as you said, sometimes there are actually rather touching bits, especially in JD's monologes.

I've been watching it on Comedy Central too, since I have not been so devoted a fan as to have seen every episode.

I think John C. McGinley is the greatest genius in TV comedy, and I wish I had saved my tape of the episode “My Way Home” from last season--I found it quite brilliant, and I was on the floor almost the entire time.

Yes, yes!!

I discovered Scrubs in December, and have been soaking in it (yay, Comedy Central) ever since. Am too excited about the musical episode (tonight?).
