The mini-Starbucks in the West Building closes at 2:30pm on Fridays (7:30pm the rest of the week).

Because no student might possibly have a desire for a caffeine jolt on a Friday afternoon/evening.

I could see it from some dink-ass no-name coffee joint, but a Starbucks? Someone should report their ass to corporate headquarters.

I don't think it's quite a full-fledged Starbucks franchise. I mean, it's definitely several steps beyond the news stand in the train station that Proudly Sells Starbucks Coffee[tm] in two big urns that probably aren't changed all day--it's got a Starbucksish decor setup, and sells mochas and lattes, but it is not the full package.

I assume it's some kind of halvsies deal they worked out with the college.
