I woke up c. 4am feeling perfectly fine. No neckache, no tiredness, no cough, sinuses clear. I felt like I could leap out right there and pack everything. Instead, sensibly went back to sleep.

Woke up at 9: Right back to where I was.

Yep. I often do something similar. I wake up at 2am from a bad dream and feel completely awake. I usually get up and putter around the house for a little bit and then go back to bed. When I get up at the regular time, I feel tired and listless. Blech.
