serindeIt's not quite an hour before I leave for my first aikido class, and for some reason I've got stomach butterflies and loads of apprehension and a whimpering voice telling me not to do it--even though I know I really want to.
This really feels like what Ironrose calls "the lizard brain" coming out to play--all the conditioning telling me that this is not what I should be doing. (For the longer treatise, click here.)
The lizard brain scuppered my SCA fighting once already. It's not going to win this time.
