So here it is, late May in NYC, and it's still going down into the 40s at night.

I propose that daylight savings has the right principle but the wrong target: we need to adjust the entire calendar back by one. For surely this is actually April?

I'm pretty sure we had May in April. It was like 80 degrees. Who knows what next month will be?! September? July?

The NPR station we get up here covers the whole north country up to the Adirondacks.

They were calling for possible SNOW up there last night!!!

Whomever coined the phrase "global warming" should be shot for the misnomer. Looking at the historical picture, climate change isn't most noticably "warming" or "cooling" but huge unpredictable weather shifts.
