I got up, returned the rental car, and made my way to the train station for the only morning train (8:39).
And waited.
And waited.
And waited...until my butt was completely numb with cold and I came home before it fell off, because Steve would have been disappointed if it had. Of course, I wondered: what the hell? I mean, holiday (i.e. Saturday) service only gives you one train, so it's not like they'd cancel it since some people DO have to work, and if it's going to be delayed they tend to be good about announcing it over the speaker system.
Now, all has been made clear--Beth happened to call and oh, they announced on the trains on Friday that it would be a normal weekday schedule today. Real fuckin' good, NJ Transit. Heaven forfend we should GIVE SOME NOTICE, or maybe FIX IT ON THE WEB SCHEDULE. Ahem.
So no aikido for me today, just staying home and data-entering five jillion DSL orders (which can only be done in IE; thanks so much, Covad). Snarl.
