...which perfectly sums up the New York winter experience. So, with no further ado:

Winter is icumen in,
Lhude sing Goddamm,
Raineth drop and staineth slop,
And how the wind doth ramm!
Sing: Goddamm.
Skiddeth bus and sloppeth us,
An ague hath my ham.
Freezeth river, turneth liver,
Damm you; Sing: Goddamm.
Goddamm, Goddamm, 'tis why I am, Goddamm,
So 'gainst the winter's balm.
Sing goddamm, damm, sing goddamm,
Sing goddamm, sing goddamm, DAMM.

You're funnier than your allotment. It makes the rest of us look bad.

It's not the accumulation, it's the resultant slush.

Pffft...slush is better than black ice.

I say the black ice is worse when you're driving (as we do near our houses) and the NYC slush is worse when you're walking (as we do near our offices).

Spring is our only hope! And until then, poetry courtesy of you!

I think the black ice is far far more dangerous than slush for walkers. Slush you can see; you only realize you've stepped on black ice when you're landing.
