That's more like it.
Mar. 26th, 2003 02:13 pmNo heat exhaustion today. Go Me. Whether this is due to the 30oz. of water I drank in the two hours preceding class or simply due to lesser exertion is unclear. (Still hot and tired, of course, but no ill effects.)
Worked with another student today (Mike) and it went very well, except for the one throw we were doing in small groups where I suddenly became a dunce again. Sigh. All of the moves today were defending vs. a strike (could be hand, sword, whatever) descending on your head, and the responses all started the same way, which made life a lot easier.
I also found out what happened to the cute tall blonde who fell on my foot the first week I joined--apparently he'd been out for surgery (he stopped by during class and Mike chatted with him for a sec).
The female contingent of the dojo, judging from locker-room talk, is pretty solidly anti-war. ph34r this demographic!
