Immediately after previous entry, things started going downhill.
* My replacement CPU/motherboard arrived...and the CPU promptly blew up, filling the computer room with a horrible burning stink.
* I got wretched cravings, not for bread (oddly enough), but rather for fruit. Would've killed for a nice juicy pear. I was hungry as all get-out, but the idea of eating meat or cheese or eggs was *bletch*. (Perhaps there's something to this carb-addict theory; or maybe it's just wanting what you're used to.)
* Due to the above, started getting very grumpy.
* Neither of us noticed the alarm wasn't set, so we got up half an hour late this morning (which meant not enough time for a happy calm breakfast, or to make egg salad, or various other things I'd intended to accomplish).
* The vanilla Atkins shake is gross too. And I don't know what they mean about shaking to mix, because neither that nor vigorous spoon stirring actually makes the powder globs dissolve wholly. Mmmm, _lumpy_ gross shake...clearly a blender is the way to go, but see the above "no time" bit.
* I seem to have a caffeine withdrawal headache.
* Our prize idiot called this morning, and I got her. She'll be calling back, too, I'm sure.

The only way to make the shakes tollerable is to throw the shake mix in the blender with some cold water and ice. That makes it more like the shakes you find at the store. Also, they will taste better as you head into ketosis. If you look up the recipe for the low carb vanilla ice cream, sometimes making it with that helps a lot too. It's the egg protien. Hard to mix.
