Point of self-aggrandizement.
Apr. 23rd, 2003 01:45 pmLooking in mirrors today has made me feel consistently good. This is a new and exciting thing. Moreover, when I went to grab my black jeans while dressing this morning, I pulled them on and thought "hmmm...these are a _lot_ more snug than they were on Saturday. Huh?" Oh, because they weren't mine--they're an old pair of Beth's. Which are actually 13s. But they fit without waist pain or causing wedgies. Go Me!
Though, I'm sure some is also new and, I like to think, flattering clothes. In addition to aforementioned jeans, I'm wearing a gold-glitter camouflage top, a wonderful soft & light leather jacket with a *gasp* feminine cut (I never had me one o' them before!), and my olive-and-black clogs. It's even, maybe, kinda sorta fashionable.
I need earrings to wear with my bronze dragon pendant. Insert rant here about the lack of bronze jewelry available.
Class was most enjoyable today. Was partnered with Yan, who is definitely more advanced, though not so very much to be intimidating; and who was especially helpful in showing me, not only what I was doing wrong, but _why_. Along with general applications of correct methods.
