It restoreth my soul.
May. 3rd, 2003 02:18 pmMy darling pet and I have just returned from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, where it is lilac season, cherry blossom season, and a fair amount of other things too. I'm superlatively happy right now, even though my knees are _not_. (I also managed to restrain myself in the shop there--acquired a tea towel, a replacement hat for the one I lost on the train, and three on-sale books.)
I think I'm going to try planting forget-me-nots in the raised bed where the bulbs are. Oddly, at the Garden, they had a bunch of 'em in almost full sun, next to pansies and tulips--it looked really cool, but I had always heard that forget-me-nots were shade plants. Hmmm.
