Sweatshop Week

serindeThis week is all about getting my gamurra finished for Daria's Laurelling on Saturday. (In fucking Cape Cod...shoot me.) Let's see, I have to:
* finish attaching the skirt to the bodice,
* do most of the eyelets for lacing it up (Kasia started them for me, but I have a ways to go),
* finsh the armhole edges,
* hem it,
* get something to use to lace it up,
* find fabric for and make an under-skirt,
* make a chemise.
This, when I'm going over to Brian's on Tuesday, and we have the game on Wednesday (though I can probably hand-stitch during the game). Sleep is for the weak!
In other news, the gaming session on Saturday went really well, except that our bard did another foolish thing and this time got killed for it. (To wit, bouncing into melee combat with only ten hit points left. We were all taken completely by surprise, including the DM.) The big plotline we'd been working on for some time is resolved, at least for the most part; my character's Big Secret is out; and we are all ready for a vacation.
Funniest game moment: impromptu revival meeting (kinda like the church scene in Blues Brothers) when my character (a cleric) was standing in between two very nasty fighters...who kept, not just missing, but fumbling. Do you FEEL the power?! Amen!
