Playing catch-up
Sep. 23rd, 2003 09:35 amFriday: The hurricane that wasn't. Weeeeee. Saturday: Kathryn's wedding shower, which was set up by her mother and aunt; me and the redheads, the best man and his S.O., and the Happy Couple were the only people under 60 present. (No, I take it back, there was a cousin of Kathryn's who was only in her 40s.) In spite of this seeming recipe for deadliness, it was very nice. Sunday, I went over to Beth's to work on my bridesmaid dress, and we had a most excellent visit too; came back home and watched Lost Boys. Ah, the Frog Brothers...
Yesterday, I intended to go to class after work as well, but at lunchtime I once again flubbed it trying to take ukemi for koshinagi--I landed flat on my back and rump like a ton of bricks. It hurt like a mother all afternoon & evening, and I'm still pretty sore today. In spite of this ill omen, I have paid my money for the test and will be taking my chances on Sunday at 1:30. Pray for me, O pray for me.
