reddragdiva brought this horror to my attention. Short version: Keanu "Whoa." Reeves as John Constantine of Hellblazer. It is to vomit, copiously and without let.

(I'd heard this rumored some time ago, but I thought it was as full of hooey as most of them are, even the awful ones. But, no.)

And remember, they were originally going to put Nicholas Cage in the role. So Keanu is actually a bad substitute Nic Cage.

I hadn't heard that one; I know that Cage is a rabid comic fan, and his name has been linked to darn near every comic-related movie at some point, but this wrinkle had escaped me. He'd still be wrong for the role, of course, but better than this.

Keanu is a bad substitute for anything, including a block of tofu carved into the likeness of John Constantine.
