It seems that there is a reprinted omnibus edition of all three Master Li & Number Ten Ox books. And for extra bonus crunchy goodness, it's illustrated by Kaja Foglio.

Date: 2004-08-09 06:32 pm (UTC)It's a three-book series by Barry Hughart: Bridge of Birds, Story of the Stone, and Eight Skilled Gentlemen. They're fantasy/mystery/deadpan-humor tales "set in an ancient China that never was". I love them to bits. Check 'em out if you can find them locally. (It is nice, but not at all necessary, to read them in order.)
