Judicious use of sick days
Apr. 15th, 2004 12:35 pmI staggered awake at 8 long enough to toddle to the computer, mail in sick, and then went back to bed. I then slept through til past noon, so clearly that was the correct answer. The accumulated sleep deprivation must've caught up with me, or something.
Talked to Dr. Nick last night about my leg. He didn't really tell me anything new, as such, just confirmed what my common sense was telling me. After this long, it's definitely a tear not a pull, but still the only thing to do is wait. I can and even should go to class, but I MUST be sensible and not do anything that is likely to cause the bad kind of pain. I can anticipate another 2-4 weeks before it's back in order, and if it's not or gets worse, I should go to a sports medicine doctor.
When I woke up the first time, it was grey and raining and windy. Now it's sunny (and windy). Perchance I shall garden later.
