This is hard, because I'm being all strict and separating MY CDs from OUR CDs. But I'm betting Manowar's Fighting the World qualifies.

War Birds: Diary of an Unknown Aviator. Two American pilots who joined WWI early by volunteering in Britain kept diaries of their experiences, and made an agreement that if either didn't make it, the other would publish the deceased's diary. It's a fascinating book. Go find a copy, if you can.
