And in other news
Nov. 7th, 2005 09:16 pmI cut my hair last Thursday. I mean, cut off. Some of you will know exactly what kind of tectonic shift that is in the earthly mantle of me.
Mass gender overgeneralization that the statistical sample to date bears out: Women notice immediately. Men don't notice at all.
I'm very pleased with the result. Only two possible vexations with it so far: 1) I may have to start showering in the morning instead of at night, so I can do the thingy with the blowdryer and the round brush to arrange it to best advantage (assuming I can master that skill, HAW HAW), and 2) it's too short to braid for aikido, so I pigtailed it, and (this is incredibly lame) the pigtail gets in the way. If I do a backwards roll, there's a *BUMP* in the middle; and it sticks out far enough that if I'm doing a technique that requires ducking under someone's arm (e.g. shihonage), and I shave things really close, there is collision. Which somewhat spoils the ease and grace of the maneuver.
