What am I forgetting?
Aug. 8th, 2003 11:25 amI hate this part of trip preparation--the constant nagging knowledge that there's something important I should have done, or made a note of to do, and will fail to be done.
Very frustrating morning; my cellphone was out of charge, as it turned out, and I brought the wrong thread, and these spiraled with extreme tiredness to give me a meltdown.
sweh sorted me out and got me back on track, and I feel vaguely competent again. I think I've got everything sorted here, which is good as I will leave in two hours to make a two-hour journey to get to a point eight miles from my house. Ah, New Jersey.
In the meanwhile, I am fighting the good fight. Somehow there started a discussion about spices on one of the D&D web boards, and that old stupid chestnut about "medieval people used spices to cover up the taste of rotting meat" reared its ugly head. So I've been re-educating my little heart out. Well, it's getting me into a Pennsic thought mode, anyways. Pedants 'R' Us! (In the same thread, I've also had cause to educate the masses on medieval undergarments and bathing practices. Basically, every misconception ever made is showing up. Whee.)
IMPORTANT: Everyone go over and give
blarglefiend hugs and kisses and good wine for his birthday.
